The Life Of A Leaf

You may think leaves are just things that hang on a tree and fall off in Autumn, but believe it or not that's wrong!

 

Leaves go through Photo-synthesis, a process for food. when a gas called Carbon Dioxide enters a part of the plant called the stomata this gives the plant more heat to finish this process, the other heat source is our sun which helps a lot when it comes to heat. Now there is one more source left, and that source is water. The water gets absorbed up into the roots of the leaf and gives the plant or leaf nutrition to live!  Now that is Photosynthesis!!!                                                                                                           Why Leaves turn Colors?                                                                    It all starts with leaf pigment, Why does it change? because the amount of color pigment is naturally inserted into each leaf some less and some more.                                                                           BUT WHY? because it is preparing for winter, the pigment green is the healthiest plant pigment, the others are not they are weaker, it  helps when they got to fall off the trees before winter.

My Day Off

This morning I woke up thinking I was going to school only to find out School was closed due to icy roads and cars. My parents have been all around town dropping off and picking up the others, But they noticed I entertained myself happily all day! so they said blog about that and tell everyone what I did today:

1. Woke up and watched a movie on my computer (which I set  up to face my bed)

2. played X- factor, as a judge

3. played as a director of the Broadway show "Hamilton" 

4. Cleaned the whole house including the messy kitchen 

5. did everyone's laundry 

listen to music for 3 hours

6. made myself brunch 

7. watched another movie

8. listened to more music 

9. Blogged 

10. Work out/feed animals

11. Continue my night off!

My First Post

Good Evening Friends, 

         Hello I am Thomas Connolly. I am here to tell you about 6th grade. At Montessori 6th grade is different from other schools. How? because we use materials to help you understand that type of Math, Language, Cultural, or whatever subject is that you are learning. Today I was learning reviewing integers, not because I did not learn but because, in Montessori you review to make sure you officially understand that work. Montessori is the right way, people that had sent there children their in the past say that! tomorrow I will write about Maria Montessori, and Nature. please be sure to read it!!
