The Life Of A Leaf
You may think leaves are just things that hang on a tree and fall off in Autumn, but believe it or not that's wrong!
Leaves go through Photo-synthesis, a process for food. when a gas called Carbon Dioxide enters a part of the plant called the stomata this gives the plant more heat to finish this process, the other heat source is our sun which helps a lot when it comes to heat. Now there is one more source left, and that source is water. The water gets absorbed up into the roots of the leaf and gives the plant or leaf nutrition to live! Now that is Photosynthesis!!! Why Leaves turn Colors? It all starts with leaf pigment, Why does it change? because the amount of color pigment is naturally inserted into each leaf some less and some more. BUT WHY? because it is preparing for winter, the pigment green is the healthiest plant pigment, the others are not they are weaker, it helps when they got to fall off the trees before winter.
